Position Overview

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Chief CT Technologist to oversee our CT imaging services. We are dedicated to transforming the field of radiology and enhancing the diagnostic process. Join us in our mission to elevate patient care and diagnostic accuracy.

As the Chief CT Technologist, you will be responsible for leading and managing CT operations, ensuring adherence to professional standards and delivering exceptional service to our patients. You will operate CT scanners to capture diagnostic images of patients' bodies while fostering positive relationships with referring physicians and radiologists.

This is a full-time role with a schedule of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Imaging (55%):

  • Screen patients prior to examinations for any necessary precautions or contraindications.
  • Perform routine and advanced CT imaging procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Prepare and explain CT procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout the process.
  • Adjust scanning parameters as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques appropriately.
  • Promote positive customer relations with patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members as required.
  • Follow physician orders accurately while adhering to safety regulations.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images and conduct quality control tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Staff Supervision (25%):

  • Ensure all CT technologists are knowledgeable about company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the recruitment and staffing process alongside management.
  • Manage staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
  • Monitor and approve employee timecards.
  • Oversee training for new CT technologists, providing guidance and expertise.
  • Participate in staff performance evaluations and development initiatives.
  • Lead regular staff meetings and conduct one-on-one discussions with employees.

Operations Management (15%):

  • Maintain and sanitize imaging equipment after each use, ensuring emergency equipment is functional.
  • Address any hazardous conditions or equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment to promote safety.
  • Coordinate patient relations to deliver high-quality service.
  • Comply with state regulations and internal policies regarding documentation and safety tracking.
  • Keep the CT protocol manual updated and manage software upgrades.
  • Order necessary supplies in accordance with inventory control guidelines.

Additional Duties (5%):

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
