Position Overview

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Chief CT Technologist to oversee our CT imaging services. We are committed to redefining radiology, making it an essential component in the diagnostic and treatment process. Join us in our mission to enhance patient care.

As the Chief CT Technologist, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the CT department, ensuring adherence to professional standards and delivering exceptional service to our patients. You will operate CT scanners to generate diagnostic images and maintain effective working relationships with radiologists and referring physicians.

This is a full-time role with a schedule of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

(55%) Patient Imaging:

  • Evaluate patients prior to procedures to identify any necessary precautions or contraindications.
  • Conduct routine and advanced CT imaging procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Prepare and explain procedures to patients, ensuring they are comfortable and informed throughout the process.
  • Adjust scanning parameters as needed, employing dose reduction techniques when appropriate.
  • Foster positive relationships with patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Communicate effectively with medical professionals and family members as required.
  • Adhere strictly to physician directives and safety regulations.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images and perform assigned quality control tasks.
  • Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.

(25%) Staff Management:

  • Ensure all CT technologists are well-versed in company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new staff.
  • Manage staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage across modalities.
  • Oversee timecard approvals and monitor staff attendance.
  • Facilitate training for new CT technologists, providing guidance and support.
  • Participate in performance evaluations and staff development initiatives.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one discussions with staff.

(15%) Operational Oversight:

  • Maintain and sanitize imaging equipment after each use, ensuring it is in proper working condition.
  • Address any hazardous conditions or equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment to promote safety.
  • Coordinate patient relations to deliver high-quality service.
  • Comply with state regulations and internal policies regarding documentation and safety.
  • Keep the CT protocol manual updated and manage software upgrades.
  • Order necessary supplies in accordance with inventory control guidelines.

(5%) Additional Duties:

Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support the department's goals.
