Position Overview

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Chief CT Technologist to oversee our CT imaging services. This role is pivotal in redefining radiology as a vital component in patient diagnosis and treatment. We are committed to excellence and professionalism in our services.

As the Chief CT Technologist, you will be responsible for providing direction and management to the CT department, ensuring adherence to professional standards and exceptional service delivery. You will operate CT equipment to generate diagnostic images of patients' bodies while fostering positive relationships with referring physicians and radiologists.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Imaging (55%):

  • Conduct thorough patient screenings prior to examinations to identify any necessary precautions.
  • Execute both routine and advanced CT imaging procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Prepare and explain procedures to patients, ensuring they are comfortable and informed throughout the process.
  • Adjust scanning parameters as needed, applying dose reduction techniques appropriately.
  • Promote positive interactions with patients, physicians, and staff to enhance customer relations.
  • Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS) and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.

2. Staff Management (25%):

  • Ensure all CT technologists are well-versed in company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the recruitment and staffing processes to maintain adequate coverage.
  • Monitor and approve staff timecards and oversee training for new team members.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and manage development plans for staff.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings and one-on-one discussions with employees.

3. Operational Oversight (15%):

  • Maintain and sanitize imaging equipment, ensuring all tools are in optimal working condition.
  • Address any hazardous conditions or equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
  • Manage patient relations to guarantee high-quality service delivery.
  • Keep the CT protocol manual updated and oversee inventory control for supplies.

4. Additional Duties (5%):

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.

This position is full-time, operating Monday through Friday during standard business hours.
