Overview:


The Senior Vice President of Sales is responsible for strategizing, organizing, and overseeing the execution of Supplier and BBG initiatives in collaboration with the Executive Vice President, supplier sales, and trade marketing teams. This role involves managing the local team to optimize sales, enhance field-marketing opportunities, and achieve financial targets in the market. It is essential to ensure that the in-market sales organization is equipped to address emerging business needs and strategic demands while continuously developing the capabilities of the In-market Team.



Responsibilities:
Ensures complete alignment with the strategy and mission set by the Executive Vice President, driving local activities that enhance performance and execution to meet supplier objectives.

Collaborates closely and communicates regularly with both internal (local level) and external (Supplier) senior sales leadership teams to formulate the company's strategic initiatives and tactical plans for implementing these strategies, ensuring effective communication with the Sales organization.


Provides leadership to sales teams by guiding and influencing direct reports to adhere to directives necessary for achieving company objectives. This includes measuring and evaluating performance through reports, collaborative work, and program implementations to maximize sales and field-marketing opportunities while meeting financial goals.

Ensures that BBG Values and Ways of Working are integrated within the sales organization.

Possesses a strong understanding of P&L to offer financial insights and support to the Executive Vice President in achieving overall market financial objectives.


Enhances sales efforts and customer engagement by maintaining personal relationships with key accounts to ensure the attainment of company and supplier sales targets, while managing the selling and merchandising capabilities of On Premise and Off Premise in comparison to competitive wholesalers, consistently evaluating sales territories for optimal account assignments.

Effectively manages sales expenses to meet budgeted sales objectives.

Upholds Organizational Integrity by maintaining the product and company reputation through compliance with federal and state regulations.

Maintains customer trust and safeguards operations by ensuring confidentiality of information.

Ensures a safe and clean working environment by adhering to established procedures, rules, and regulations.

Demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making by making beneficial decisions that align with the goals and needs of the company and supplier.

Fosters positive employee relationships by exhibiting respect, trust, and honesty with all associates, providing information, educational opportunities, and growth prospects while evaluating team strengths.

Adheres to company policies and procedures.

Achieves goals and projects by consistently encouraging team members to step outside their comfort zones.

Additional duties, as assigned by the supervisor, may also be required.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent training and work experience.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and sales management.

Ability to hold a solicitor's permit.

Advanced proficiency in MS Office and other relevant computer programs, including presentation software.

Must be a results-oriented professional with strong verbal and written communication skills, utilizing diplomacy and discretion, along with excellent customer service skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently or as part of a team, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines.

Preferred

Qualifications:

Graduate/MBA degree.

Relevant cross-functional experience (finance, operations, IT, HR, project management, etc.).

Sales Management experience with a major supplier, distributor, or consumer.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.

Maintain a constant strategic analytical mindset.

Ability to maximize results from subordinates while fostering positive employee relations. Stay informed on market trends and competitive activities.

Have key product and category knowledge.

Be extremely organized and well-versed in all situations, maintaining knowledge of all departments within the company. Timely execution of responsibilities and decision-making are critical traits for this position.
