The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's Financial Services (FRFS) provides a comprehensive range of payment solutions to financial institutions through various platforms including FedLine Solutions, Fedwire, National Settlement Service (NSS), FedCash, FedACH, Check Services, and the FedNow Service. In 2020, we initiated a transformative strategy to evolve FRFS from a product and support office model to a cohesive, enterprise-oriented organization. This restructuring integrated previous retail, wholesale, cash, and customer relations functions into a unified entity, further enhanced by the addition of the FedNow team.

Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Technical Operations Manager to join our team. In this capacity, you will be instrumental in shaping the strategy and fostering innovation within our Technical Operations division. Your responsibilities will include leading the Technical Operations Strategy, Metrics & Knowledge team, and promoting a culture of collaboration and creativity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance the analytical and metrics capabilities within Technical Operations.
- Identify challenges and implement metrics to facilitate improvements.
- Advance the internal Technical Operations strategy while strengthening collaboration with Payment Operations.
- Improve Knowledge Management practices and reporting metrics.
- Oversee the update of knowledge articles in line with cloud migration and co-located environments.
- Integrate operations more effectively into the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC).
- Establish strong partnerships with primary product vendors.
- Build relationships with Vendor Operations counterparts to foster proactive solutions.
Key Activities:
- Collaborate with leadership to formulate and implement both short-term and long-term strategies for Technical Operations, including tracking key results and actionable metrics.
- Generate insightful reports for senior executives.
- Create a collaborative environment that encourages innovation through diverse perspectives.
- Mentor a team of skilled technical professionals, promoting a culture of growth and continuous learning.
- Lead the ongoing development of communication, metrics, and knowledge management strategies.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
- Work closely with product owners and engineers to align business goals with technical execution.
- Analyze operational efficiencies and recommend improvements in collaboration with other FRFS Operations teams.
- Stay informed on emerging trends and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years in a technical or technical operations role.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated success in a technical leadership role.
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills.
- Experience in IT strategy development and implementation.
- Proficient in data analysis and executive reporting.
- Passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to advocate for sound technical solutions in a collaborative setting.
- Experience with actionable metrics development.
- Hands-on experience when necessary.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow ITSM and Knowledge Management is a plus.
- Understanding of cloud computing and AI Ops is advantageous.
