Position Overview

As the Global Logistics Strategy Manager, you will oversee the procurement processes for logistics on a global scale, ensuring that sourcing objectives are achieved with optimal resource utilization. You will provide guidance and support to Regional Logistics Managers to ensure a unified procurement approach that aligns with supply and demand principles as well as local market conditions. Furthermore, you will serve as the go-to expert for all matters related to your designated transportation mode. By collaborating with key stakeholders, you will create and execute essential initiatives aimed at enhancing cost efficiency, performance, and reliability. Building robust professional relationships with strategic partners will be crucial to align our goals with theirs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with regional Logistics Managers to synchronize procurement strategies and timelines with available resources, consolidating specific plans into a comprehensive global procurement strategy.
  • Establish and uphold a set of common procurement principles for Transportation and Logistics Services, ensuring that all regional commodity managers understand and adhere to these guidelines.
  • Formulate, implement, and communicate the procurement strategy for your transportation mode, ensuring organizational alignment.
  • Work closely with Logistics and Supply Chain Leaders across the business units to identify opportunities and implement sustainable solutions that enhance supply chain performance.
  • Lead negotiations for contractual agreements with key service providers and develop policies to streamline the contracting process.
  • Incorporate feedback from business units to create KPIs that measure operational and cost efficiency for your transportation mode.
  • Ensure top-tier carrier performance and empower logistics leaders to resolve issues locally while providing escalation support as necessary.
  • Conduct data analysis to facilitate continuous operational improvements as measured by established KPIs.
  • Contribute expertise to the development of global logistics strategies.
Candidate Profile:

You possess a balanced approach to planning and execution, leveraging the unique strengths of each team member to achieve collective goals. You communicate effectively across the organization, presenting ideas persuasively to garner support. You are adept at resolving conflicts constructively and follow through on commitments, ensuring accountability among your peers.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Operations, or Logistics.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Proven experience in traditional negotiation and electronic sourcing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Excellent interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Willingness to travel globally, approximately 25 to 30% of the time.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems.
  • Understanding of Basic Transportation Law and Customs Brokerage & Trade Compliance.
  • Experience in International Freight Forwarding is advantageous.
Work Environment:
