Job Overview

We are looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to become an integral part of our dedicated research group. This position offers a unique chance to contribute to a variety of exceptional health sciences research initiatives. As a member of our team, you will engage in fostering programs across basic, translational, mechanistic, and population research domains.


As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of functions, including the administration of long-acting injectable medications, management of the medication oversight system, evaluation and monitoring of physical health conditions, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals and pharmacy providers.


Employment Terms: Direct Hire
Compensation: $70,000 + state benefits
Work Schedule: Flexible with potential on-call duties during weekends; Options for a schedule of M-F, 8am-5pm, or 4/10 hour days.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver nursing services for patients supported by an assertive community treatment team.
  • Under the guidance of the team psychiatrist, oversee and manage medication administration for patients in various settings.
  • Provide case management for a designated group of patients, including the planning, development, and monitoring of services and supports as outlined in each patient's treatment plan.

Qualifications:
  • Valid RN License (NC State Licensure)
  • Preferred experience working with adults facing mental health challenges
  • Preferred experience with Assertive Community Treatment Teams (ACTT) or community-based services
