Position Overview
The Emergency Department Clinical Nurse Specialist is a clinical leader responsible for developing and implementing evidence-based practice standards and policies. This role collaborates with the healthcare team to design, implement, and measure safe, cost-effective care strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based practice standards and policies
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to design and implement safe, cost-effective care strategies
- Contribute to the advancement of nursing practice at the unit, health system, local, state, and national levels
- Provide education and mentoring to nursing staff
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in a nursing-related area
- Master's degree in nursing required; Doctorate in nursing preferred
- Registered Nurse and Clinical Nurse Specialist licensure/certification required
Work Schedule
Days; no weekends or call requirements
