Role Summary

The MRI Imaging Specialist is responsible for conducting MRI scans while ensuring the safety and integrity of the MRI environment for all individuals, including staff and patients. This role involves maintaining sufficient inventory of supplies necessary for performing examinations, as well as explaining procedures to patients and completing all required departmental documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a Radiologic Technology role, which may include Radiologic Technologist, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, or Ultrasound.
  • Completion of an MRI training program or a 24-month degree in Radiologic Technology is required in lieu of experience.
  • Preferred: Six months of MRI experience or completion of an MRI didactic program.
  • Must obtain ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT certification within 2 years of employment.
  • Certifications required: CNMT, ARDMS, ARRT, or ARMRIT.
