Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Sentara Healthcare. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing general MRI examinations and Interventional, dual modality procedures in a hospital or standing ED setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general MRI examinations and Interventional, dual modality procedures
  • Maintain safety integrity of MRI operational area for all persons, including staff and customers
  • Maintain adequate supply inventory for performing examinations
  • Explain examination and procedure to patient and complete departmental documentation

Requirements:

  • One year experience in a Rad Tech position, including Radiologic Tech, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, or Ultrasound
  • Completion of MRI school/MRI certificate program or Graduate of 24-month program in radiologic technology
  • Six months MR experience or completion of MR didactic program preferred
  • Must obtain ARRT CT and/or ARRT MR within 2 years of hire
  • CNMT or ARRT or ARDMS or ARMRIT required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI
