We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our faculty as an open-rank professor in comparative politics. The successful candidate will have a strong research agenda and a demonstrated ability to teach introductory and upper-division courses in comparative politics.

About the Position

This is a tenure-track position that will begin in Fall 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a range of courses, including introductory classes in comparative politics and upper-division courses in their area of expertise. The teaching load is 5 courses per academic year, with a mix of introductory and upper-division classes.

Responsibilities
  • Teach introductory and upper-division courses in comparative politics
  • Develop and maintain an ongoing research agenda
  • Contribute to the integration of theoretical and experiential elements of our major
  • Support the University's commitment to liberal arts education
  • Participate in departmental and university governance
Requirements

Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. in Political Science or a closely-related field by the start date. We seek applicants with a strong research agenda and a demonstrated ability to teach effectively in a liberal arts setting.
