Professor of Comparative Politics

The Department of Politics and Public Affairs at Denison University invites applications for a tenure-track position in comparative politics, commencing Fall 2025. We seek a scholar whose research and teaching emphasize constitutionalism, policy analysis, or the interaction between social movements and these areas, with a geographic focus on countries or regions beyond the United States or Western Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach introductory courses in comparative politics of democracies
- Develop and teach upper division courses in comparative politics broadly and in areas of expertise
- Contribute to the integration of theoretical and experiential elements of the major
- Maintain an ongoing research agenda and publish research in peer-reviewed journals
- Support the University's commitment to liberal arts education and participate in departmental and university governance
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Political Science or a closely-related field by start date
- Teaching effectiveness and experience in undergraduate education
- Research agenda and publication record
