Professor of Comparative Politics

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our faculty as an open-rank professor in comparative politics. The successful candidate will have a strong research agenda and a demonstrated ability to teach introductory and upper-division courses in comparative politics.
About the PositionThis is a tenure-track position that will begin in Fall 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a range of courses, including introductory classes in comparative politics and upper-division courses in their area of expertise. We are looking for someone who can contribute to the integration of theoretical and experiential elements of our major.
Responsibilities- Teach introductory and upper-division courses in comparative politics
- Contribute to the development of the Politics and Public Affairs program
- Maintain an ongoing research agenda and publish in peer-reviewed journals
- Advise students and participate in departmental and university governance
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Political Science or a closely-related field by the start date. We are looking for someone with a strong research agenda and a demonstrated ability to teach effectively in a liberal arts setting.
