We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at Jefferson Health. As a key member of our Emergency Room Registration team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth registration process.
Key Responsibilities- Greets patients and visitors with professionalism and identifies their needs
- Obtains and verifies patient demographic, contact information, insurance, and eligibility information
- Works closely with clinical staff, interpreters, and other ancillary areas to respond to patient needs
- Handles multiple calls and requests in a timely and professional manner
- Performs other duties as needed to support the facility
- High school degree or GED
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Proficient in the use of computers and medical terminology
- Bilingual skills a plus
