About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative at Yoke's Fresh Markets. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting sales, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Sales Promotion: Promote sales by actively engaging with customers, offering product recommendations, and discussing current promotions and services.
  • Store Maintenance: Perform routine store maintenance tasks, including cleaning, restocking shelves, and retrieving shopping carts.
  • Bagging and Carts: Bag groceries for customers and retrieve shopping carts from the parking lot and cart corral.
  • Product Handling: Receive and stock merchandise, as well as return unsold products to the shelf or dispose of them properly.
  • Mentorship: Mentor new associates or those new to the department or task, ensuring a positive learning environment.
  • Safety and Security: Participate in the store's accident reduction plan, monitoring displays for trip hazards, observing safe lifting techniques, and recognizing safety features and/or restrictions of all machinery.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Skills: Reads and comprehends simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Writes simple correspondence. Communicates effectively and pleasantly with customers, vendors, and fellow associates at all times.
  • Mathematical Skills: Mathematical skills using units of American money and weight measurement, volume.
  • Reasoning Ability: Common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Manages problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Other Qualifications: Washington State Minor Work authorization if working in Washington State and under 18-years-old.
  • Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver's License or State I.D. Card
