About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team at Knowhirematch. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain production values and ensure adherence to customer quality standards by investigating, analyzing, and resolving production and/or new model development quality problems.
  • Use basic quality information gathering and statistical techniques to conduct product audits, analyze defect trends, and lead cross-functional continuous improvement activities.
  • Investigate internal quality issues on production quality, processes, and equipment.
  • Act as a communication liaison between internal and external groups regarding quality issues.
  • Ensure consistency by establishing, maintaining, and tracking quality standards.
  • Prepare FMEA's to assure that all potential failure modes are properly addressed.
  • Participate in process audits to address any specific issues such as production mold modifications and changes, deviation from quality standards, or for timely audits of the respective quality system.
  • Address customer and internal product concerns by documenting and communicating problem tracking activities as well as monthly performance reports to track the performance of the respective production area.
  • Analyze monthly performance reports and process data to identify areas of improvement and develop the necessary improvement plans.
  • Coordinate with the appropriate department to confirm packaging trials meet quality standards.
  • Train and mentor new engineers in a hands-on environment.
  • Engineer III may also have subordinate responsibilities.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to lift 40lbs and work in a general office environment for four hours per day and a manufacturing environment for four hours per day. Occasional overnight travel may be required to perform essential functions at remote locations or receive training. Required to work overtime (unplanned and unscheduled) to meet customer deadlines and requirements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Engineer II 3-6 years, Engineer III 4-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in the quality functions within the automotive supplier industry.
  • Experience in JIT manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experienced user of quality tools including FMEA, capability studies, and GD&T.
  • Plastic injection molding process and process improvement experience is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 9000 and AIAG standards.
