Role Summary:
The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for conducting audits and inspections throughout the production process, ensuring that all manufacturing operations comply with customer specifications and that the final products meet established quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct dimensional testing on production batches.
2. Identify and segregate materials that do not meet quality specifications.
3. Collaborate with production leadership to address quality issues.
4. Ensure all necessary line testing is performed and documented accurately.
5. Collect and maintain product samples during production runs.
6. Perform daily calibrations on laboratory equipment.
7. Participate in the investigation of customer complaints and implement corrective actions as required.
8. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in the work area.
9. Provide guidance and training to new employees in the Quality department.
10. Communicate quality summaries to incoming shifts.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in quality assurance or laboratory settings within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with visual inspection and color assessment is preferred.
- Experience in plastic extrusion or film production is advantageous.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, employees are regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle objects. The role may involve lifting up to 50 pounds and requires specific vision capabilities.
