Job Summary

The HR and Admin Coordinator will report to the Chief People Officer, and be responsible for the execution of HR processes, employee relations, and training. This position will maintain administrative processes for Justice Cannabis Co locations. This role will be on site at our offices and includes on-site work to our locations. This position will develop and maintain a happy, productive workforce, and facilitate a culture that aligns with the company values.

Key ResponsibilitiesHuman Resources
  • Facilitate and coordinate between HR and employees to ensure a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are implemented and always followed to maintain compliance.
  • Recruitment: Assist with hiring-related tasks, such as setting up interviews, managing state affiliations, and managing onboarding of new employees.
  • Data maintenance in HRIS of employee records to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Update and maintain necessary recordkeeping for company and policy compliance.
  • Employee Relations: Collaborate with HR team to receive feedback/complaints and conduct research to resolve problems as needed. Assist in internal investigations.
  • Answer questions from employees, applicants, and external stakeholders to provide excellent customer service.
  • Provide Payroll support to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Use discretion and maintain strict confidentiality in all HR-related matters.
  • Support other HR-related tasks as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
Administration
  • Respond to inquiries and provide support to employees, applicants, and external stakeholders.
  • Order and manage office supplies to maintain a well-stocked and organized workspace.
  • Plan meetings and take notes to ensure effective communication and follow-up.
  • Handle complaints and queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Perform other office duties as assigned to support the team.
Team Collaboration
  • Work collaboratively with HR, Retail, and Operations staff to achieve common goals.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure clear understanding of tasks and expectations.
  • Support a positive and inclusive work environment, fostering teamwork and mutual respect among colleagues.
  • Provide training and guidance to new team members, sharing HR knowledge and best practices.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1-2 years of HR, Customer Service, or Cannabis experience; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to take direction and complete daily tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Work location: Onsite.
  • Effective planning, organization, and time management skills and experience.
  • Attention to detail; must process things accurately in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
  • Comfortability with a changing work environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) capability is desired but not required.
  • Punctual, professional, and able to communicate clearly with your manager and other staff.
  • Must be 21 years old and pass all requirements for state cannabis affiliation.
