Key Responsibilities:
The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for driving profitable growth in both base and vertical sales while also acquiring new clients.

This role involves managing customer relationships and enhancing distribution points through targeted category assessments, promotional activities, and innovative product introductions.

The Territory Sales Manager serves as the primary contact for their assigned customer base and collaborates across departments to ensure timely and customer-focused solutions.

In alignment with KeHE's Mission, Vision, and Values, the Territory Sales Manager is expected to embody these principles in all actions.

Minimum Qualifications, Skills, and Aptitude:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage all activities related to assigned accounts and customer relationships.
  • Adopt a proactive and assertive sales strategy to effectively increase sales and profitability.
  • Develop strong customer relationships and understand their business needs to implement strategic selling initiatives leveraging KeHE's superior distribution capabilities.
  • Offer a diverse product portfolio to ensure customers have the best product selection.
  • Lead discussions on promotional initiatives and capture additional performance incentives through various promotional channels.
  • Identify and establish new accounts while expanding existing ones through strategic vertical sales initiatives.
  • Implement KeHE marketing strategies and in-store services (order-writing as necessary) to sustain and enhance sales while introducing innovations to the market.
  • Educate clients about new products and develop relevant, timely programs.
  • Oversee and assist with all accounts receivable activities.
  • Manage the fiscal aspects of sales, credits, expenses, merchandising hours, drop size, and performance activities.
  • Communicate and collaborate within a team-oriented environment in the territory and with other functional areas at KeHE to achieve strategic sales goals.
  • Forecast demand for current, new, and promotional items.
  • Participate in trade shows, meetings, and training sessions as assigned.
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to recognize and pursue business development opportunities.
  • Existing retailer relationships are advantageous.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
