Position Overview

The Clinical Research Nurse plays a pivotal role in the execution and assessment of clinical studies within the oncology domain, specifically focusing on lymphoma. Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative:
    Assist the principal investigator in developing research protocols and navigating the protocol review process. Collaborate on budget formulation and ensure compliance with quality assurance standards for clinical trials.
  • Research:
    Facilitate patient recruitment and registration for clinical trials. Coordinate laboratory tests, imaging assessments, and patient appointments while monitoring test results and managing protocol data.
  • Clinical:
    Oversee patient enrollment, treatment protocols, and completion of study requirements. Work collaboratively within the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care and provide educational resources to patients and families.
  • Professional Development:
    Identify opportunities for professional growth and engage in local and national nursing organizations. Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives within the nursing division.

Qualifications

Must be a licensed registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or New Hampshire. A bachelor's degree in nursing is strongly preferred, with a requirement to obtain a BSN within four years if holding an associate degree. A minimum of one year of recent nursing experience, preferably in an ambulatory or oncology setting, is required. Professional nursing certification is advantageous.
