Clinical Research Nurse in Anesthesia

The Clinical Research Nurse will play a pivotal role in overseeing various clinical research initiatives within the Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care, and Pain Medicine. This includes conducting research studies in both Operating Rooms and Intensive Care Units (ICUs).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the research team at the Pediatric Anesthesia Research Center.
2. Prepare and submit research protocols, amendments, renewals, and modifications for ongoing studies.
3. Identify, recruit, consent, and enroll participants, ensuring all clinical aspects of studies are executed effectively while accurately collecting and entering data.
4. Foster a strong partnership with the Institutional Review Board (IRB) to ensure compliance and regulatory adherence.
5. Maintain essential regulatory documentation, including IRB protocol submissions and reports of adverse events.
6. Handle FDA documentation for investigational new drug/device applications as required.
7. Serve as the clinical liaison among the department's data team, Principal Investigators, and research teams.
8. Act as a clinical resource for the Pediatric Anesthesia Research Center team.
9. Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams throughout the hospital to facilitate the implementation of research protocols.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
- Prior clinical research experience is preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of RN experience is necessary, with pediatric experience being advantageous.
