As a Loss Prevention Associate (LPA), your responsibilities will significantly influence the store's safety and the overall shopping experience for our patrons. By demonstrating a commanding presence, understanding theft patterns, and projecting a positive image of control, your vigilance at store entrances, exits, and areas prone to theft will help in reducing incidents.

Your interactions with customers and team members will reflect our core values, as you offer a confident, welcoming, and enthusiastic greeting with every encounter.

Your attentiveness, situational awareness, and dedication to upholding safety and security protocols will be essential as you monitor the entrance throughout your shift, focusing on minimizing chances for theft, shoplifting, and other dishonest behaviors.

Your confidence, optimistic outlook, and knowledge of store loss prevention strategies will effectively influence behaviors and foster trust and respect among customers and colleagues.

You will serve as a crucial partner to store and field leadership by identifying and reporting theft incidents and/or suspicious individuals to your Manager on Duty.

Professional Presence:

  • Maintain a polished appearance at all times, adhering to the designated dress code, including radio and earpiece.
  • Position yourself at the front of the store, remaining alert and aware of your surroundings.
  • Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm smile and a loud, friendly salutation, fostering a sense of security.
  • Create a safe environment and reduce opportunities for theft.

Knowledge and Communication:

  • Possess a thorough understanding of key theft-prone areas and support programs aimed at loss prevention.
  • Effectively communicate theft prevention strategies during store meetings, collaborating with the Manager on Duty.
  • Conduct bag and package inspections on store and corporate associates, ensuring compliance with safety and security standards.
  • Understand your role in safeguarding the store and its assets.

Support and Guidance:

  • Assist in training team members on loss prevention programs and procedures.
  • Model safety as a top priority and address any unsafe practices immediately.

Experience and Responsibilities:

  • 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, or loss prevention is preferred.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and visually monitor the store environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality as required.
  • Review, analyze, and comprehend business trends effectively.
  • Exhibit a positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greetings.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with attention to detail and disciplined decision-making.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills with customers and co-workers.
  • Possess strong leadership abilities that foster productive business relationships.
