Become a vital part of our healthcare team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Orthopedic Trauma Acute Care unit at UMC Health System.

We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time RN to join our team, working Night shifts from 7PM to 7AM in our dynamic 33-bed Orthopedic Trauma and Medical Surgical Unit. Our skilled team is committed to delivering exceptional patient care to individuals across the young adult and adult age spectrum.

As a valued member of our collaborative group on 3 West, you will have the chance to work closely with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure outstanding care for our patients. This unit focuses on planned joint replacements, orthopedic trauma, and various medical conditions, fostering an energetic learning atmosphere with interdisciplinary teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, implement care plans, and evaluate nursing interventions
  • Communicate effectively with other shifts and departments to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited Nursing School
  • Possession of a valid Texas RN License or eligibility for a Compact License
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or to be obtained within three years of employment
  • Medical-Surgical certification is preferred
