Job Summary:

The Trauma Program Coordinator is a key member of the MountainView Regional Medical Center team, responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive system of care for trauma patients and their families. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement trauma care protocols and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with the trauma program medical director and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
  • Provide education and training to nursing staff, patients, and families on trauma care and management.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify best practices in trauma care and implement improvements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and healthcare organizations to promote trauma care and education.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing (RN)
  • Three (3) years of clinical/acute care experience
  • Experience in trauma, emergency, and/or critical care
  • Two (2) years of leadership experience
  • Experience in coordination, education, and clinical program development

Licenses/Certificates:

  • Current licensure in professional nursing from the New Mexico State Board of Nursing or compact RN license
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • Current TNCC (Trauma Core Nursing Curriculum)
