The Specialty Coatings Customer Support Specialist will be tasked with executing customer service functions within an office and warehouse setting, which includes managing incoming orders, responding to customer inquiries, and proactively reaching out to preferred end-user clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct customer service operations, including communication via phone and email with clients, external vendors, and internal teams.
  • Process incoming emails, phone calls, quotes, and purchase orders to prepare orders for our production team.
  • Provide inside sales assistance to our external sales team, addressing inquiries, pricing, updates, and tracking information.
  • Prepare shipping documentation for both domestic and international orders.
  • Occasionally assist in warehouse tasks to ensure timely delivery to our customers.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors for departmental material procurement.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor to meet customers' quality and service expectations.
  • Execute sales transactions in accordance with company guidelines using POS systems.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper disposal of waste materials in compliance with company and governmental regulations.
  • Assist with periodic or annual inventory counts.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

Approximately 60% of the time spent sitting, 20% standing, 10% walking, and 10% engaged in stooping, climbing, and kneeling activities.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.

Training Requirements:

The following are the minimum training prerequisites for certification in this role:

  • Mandatory Courses - Right-to-Know Training
  • Recommended Courses - VOC Technical Reference Course
  • DOT Regulation Training
  • Hazardous Waste Training
  • Attendance at various manufacturer training seminars and/or training schools, which may occur after regular business hours and may require overnight travel.

Other Requirements:

Ability to work all scheduled hours as necessary. If personal vehicle use is required for company business, the employee must have appropriate insurance as per company policy. A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record from the State Motor Vehicle Bureau are also required.
