Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CBO Revenue Cycle Supervisor to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the patient financial services functions in the Health System CBO, including Billing/Collections, Cash Posting, Contract Management, Customer Service, and Judicial Affairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze, plan, evaluate, and implement processes to maintain KPIs at or exceeding determined benchmarks for assigned teams.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision of assigned CBO staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating.
  • Serve, manage, and support internal and external customers to the CBO.
  • Suggest and participate in performance improvement activities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the CBO.
  • Investigate, document, and resolve problems and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assume responsibility for own work responsibilities and maintain a positive and professional work environment.
  • Communicate effectively using good interpersonal skills and assume responsibilities for professional development of self and others.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 4 years of relevant experience required, with at least one year in a lead position; 2 years' Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of all systems used in medical provider billing, including CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, and modifiers, and thorough knowledge of third-party billing and reimbursement.
Physical Demands

The job requires sitting for prolonged periods, repetitive motion, and computer keyboard activity. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills are required, as well as attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull is also necessary.
