Top Controls Engineer for Custom Automation Projects

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to expand your skills and become a top-performing controls engineer.

The ideal candidate will have field experience in Mechanical (HVAC) Contracting or Controls (BAS) Contracting, with hands-on technical experience in construction, installation, service, or programming. You should also be knowledgeable about mechanical systems installation and building automation systems interface.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare project-specific commissioning scope of services and assist in budgeting
  • Provide peer review of documents for constructability and commission-ability
  • Prepare commissioning plans and review them for completeness
  • Review contractor submittals for compliance to contract documents
  • Schedule and coordinate commissioning site visits and deliverables for projects
  • Perform commissioning activities at project sites safely and professionally
  • Compose and issue commissioning site visit reports
  • Review trends for performance
  • Review training and O&M materials provided by contractors
  • Prepare final commissioning reports for projects

Design/Design Assistance Activities:

  • Review mechanical sequences of operations for optimal performance
  • Perform Construction Administration for designs
  • Conduct due diligence studies on existing buildings
  • Participate in contract bidding and administration
  • Observe the ongoing progress of projects
  • Assist in coordination with clients, contractors, consultants, and staff

Payscale Information: $35.00 to $55.00 per hour
