Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team at Quality Manufacturing Systems, Inc. in Nashville suburb.

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy travel and want to work on challenging projects that serve customers worldwide.

The selected candidate will analyze, design, modify, and develop real-time custom automation control programs in C# and MS SQL Server, employing best practices and QMSI coding standards.

The role involves working directly with customers and other departments during project development, deployment, and support, as well as independently performing field installations (approximately 35% travel per year).

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience, and includes 100% medical and dental insurance premiums, 401(k) plan, merit bonuses, and limited telecommuting options.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and design real-time custom automation control programs in C# and MS SQL Server.
  • Employ best practices and QMSI coding standards for existing and new projects.
  • Work directly with customers and other departments during project development, deployment, and support.
  • Independently perform field installations (approximately 35% travel per year).
  • Troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Mentor junior developers and lead small project teams.
Requirements
  • Ability to code in multiple high-level languages (C# a plus).
  • Ability to utilize WPF for GUI development.
  • Ability to install and configure Windows operating systems.
  • Ability to test and debug code written by others.
  • Knowledge of at least one database product (MS SQL Server a plus).
  • Ability to prototype development for new technologies.
  • Good familiarity with network structures and tools.
  • Ability to write small software quotes and review larger quotes.
  • Must be a US citizen or green card holder.
