Job Overview:

Summary: At Great Wolf Resorts, the Sales Associate plays a pivotal role in identifying, converting, and managing high-volume group and event business, aligning with the objectives set by Lodge leadership and contributing to the Lodge's overall success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Transform group and meeting inquiries into sales through prompt responses, exceptional sales techniques, and attentive client service.
  2. Establish and nurture vital client relationships to foster repeat business and long-term value.
  3. Exhibit strong account management skills, ensuring all activities are accurately recorded in the CRM system, tracking next steps, managing the sales pipeline, and scheduling future meetings.
  4. Craft persuasive group proposals, sales presentations, and contracts that lead to successful sales outcomes.
  5. Develop and revise quarterly sales action plans that define business development goals and market segment strategies.
  6. Achieve assigned group room and catering sales targets that enhance the Lodge's financial performance.
  7. Prepare Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and Resumes for clients and operational teams to convey specific requirements, agreed-upon details, and pricing for events.
  8. Advise clients on all aspects of the Lodge's facilities and services during the proposal and contracting phases for groups and events.
  9. Monitor room blocks and maintain regular communication with relevant property personnel regarding group room pick-ups and rooming lists.
  10. Act as the Lodge's representative in addressing and resolving any group-related complaints or conflicts, including billing discrepancies and reservation issues.
  11. Provide comprehensive information on meeting-specific requirements throughout the entire booking process, from negotiation to departure.
  12. Input accurate rooming lists, routing details, tax-exempt status, and payment verification into company software systems.
  13. Submit weekly reports to the Director of Sales and Catering detailing sales activities, converted business, and pipeline developments.
  14. Maintain the Posting Master (PM) account ledger by tracking all open PM accounts.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in hospitality or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the hospitality sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Successful Department of Motor Vehicle check.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
