Ashby Ponds by Erickson Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Assistant to provide exceptional patient care and administrative support in our medical office. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for patients, greeting them and taking initial information, including contact and insurance details.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and schedule patients at the front desk, answering the phone and taking accurate messages.
- Manage the uploading of new patient information into the portal and request patient medical records from outside providers as needed.
- Verify insurances prior to appointment and add/update insurance information into the system.
- Make daily reminder calls to patients for upcoming appointments and assist with completion of Visit Prep forms to ensure efficient provider visits.
- Partner with other departments/specialists to assist in the coordination of care when needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and vendors.

Requirements:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent required.
- 1 to 3 years of front medical office experience required.
- Ability to use multi-line electronic telephone system and basic computer skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to file/chart and document accurate patient records.
