About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join our transportation team. As a CAD Designer, you will play a crucial role in creating high-quality designs for transportation infrastructure projects. Your expertise in CAD software, particularly Bentley InRoads/OpenRoads and Autodesk AutoCAD Civil3D, will be essential in producing accurate and detailed drawings and 3D models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop civil drawings and 3D models for transportation infrastructure projects
  • Organize and maintain digital file databases for each project using Bentley ProjectWise software
  • Utilize knowledge of CAD tools and drafting techniques to complete assigned tasks, including 2D and 3D model development, design changes, general arrangement drawing production, redlining, plotting, and drafting
  • Ensure the quality of drawings and graphic work produced for the team
  • Collaborate with team members during 3D model and plan production
  • Understand ProjectWise file structures and modifications to files for exchanges with other team members
  • Create roadway alignments, profiles, templates, and corridors
  • Develop CAD surfaces and digital terrain models
  • Adhere to CAD standards and styles, quality assurance, and quality control procedures during drawing planning and production
  • Meet project schedules
Requirements
  • Experience with civil infrastructure projects, particularly roadway, utility, and rail projects
  • Proficiency in Bentley InRoads/Open Roads
  • Strong attention to detail and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a team player approach to design and problem-solving
  • Ability to work within a team, sharing workloads to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
