Job Title: Die Designer/Tooling Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Die Designer/Tooling Engineer to join our team at Tech Talent Link, Inc. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of metal stamping die designs, including coining, fineblank, and progressive dies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design metal stamping dies using Solidworks CAD software, including coining, fineblank, and progressive dies.
  • Generate strip layouts and die design planning based on customer-supplied part drawings.
  • Provide technical input on manufacturability, manufacturing process requirements, strip layout, part development, die design, and component inspection processes.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional areas to ensure new dies and existing die modifications are introduced effectively.
  • Analyze statistical data to update existing die designs, focusing on optimizing output, quality, and process capability.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience designing metal stamping dies like coining, fineblank, or progressive dies.
  • Demonstrated strip layout and die planning.
  • Knowledge of machine shop equipment, wire EDM, and CNC programming.
  • GD&T proficiency, blueprint reading skills, and a high level of understanding of product manufacturing tolerances.
  • Intermediate to advanced CAD skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Solidworks.
  • Tool & Die Apprenticeship/Journeyman status.
