Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist

Hunter Douglas, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of window coverings and architectural products. We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Control Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary

The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of inventory procedures, reconciliation of inventory, and general functions of the department. This role requires effective communication and collaboration with various departments, including Operations, Materials, Accounting, Purchasing, QA, Marketing, Consumer Support, and Engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain WHSE and WIP inventories through receipts, cycle counts, audits, and transacting inventory movements.
  • Communicate with auditors as a point of contact for the Inventory Control department.
  • Conduct unscheduled cycle counts and investigate root cause for variances.
  • Use judgment, process knowledge, and experience to make system adjustments to Warehouse and/or WIP inventory.
  • Receive and investigate all warehouse STO/PO/Drop Ship receipts and short ship investigations.
  • Monitor Inbound internal and external deliveries on both EWM and IM sides.
  • Analyze discrepancies within interim bins and determine reasons for variances.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of prior experience within a multi-task, high volume manufacturing work environment.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP, EWM, IM, MII, ME, COOIS, and COGI's.
  • Basic knowledge of BOM's and routings.
  • Ability to prepare, schedule, and lead a meeting.
  • Ability to correct inventory variances using judgment.
