Job Description

The Sous Chef will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing food service programs and activities in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations. This includes coordinating food preparation, cooking, and baking activities to ensure the quality and nutritional value of foods prepared.

The Sous Chef will also assist in recruiting, interviewing, training, reviewing, and evaluating department personnel to ensure a competent workforce. Additionally, they will develop and participate in programs designed for on-the-job training and orientation classes for newly assigned departmental personnel.
