Position Summary
This role operates under the guidance of the administrative medical director to aid in executing specific components of the care strategy, while delivering a range of direct patient care services in accordance with established protocols and standing orders sanctioned by the administrative medical director.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute patient care interventions, including the administration of medications, in accordance with state regulations and tasks authorized by Phoenix Children's and the administrative medical director, in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Conduct focused assessments of interventions as necessary, ensuring thorough documentation and escalation of any abnormalities as required.
- Provide orientation to the unit, hospital systems, and processes for patients and their families to ensure understanding of unit policies and requirements.
- Contribute to team efforts by completing necessary tasks within established guidelines to ensure adherence to all relevant medication, storage, and documentation standards, regulations, and requirements.
- Engage in various in-service programs, meetings, and rounds as needed.
- Perform a variety of tasks to maintain the department's environment and address patient care needs.
- Undertake miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
