Job Responsibilities
The Mental Health Technician is responsible for ensuring the well-being and safety of our clients. This includes supervising client activities and behaviors, taking vital signs, serving meals and snacks, and monitoring client behaviors. Effective communication and de-escalation techniques are crucial in creating a supportive environment. The MHT must adhere to and follow the patients' written treatment plan and report any changes in patient condition or potential crisis situations to the charge nurse or unit leader.

Skills and Qualifications
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED, an Active Nursing Assistant Certified Credential (CNA) from the WA State Department of Health, and Food Handlers Permit within 7 days of hire. Active BLS certification is also required within 90 days of employment. Strong communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds are essential for success in this role.
