Behavior Support Specialist for Children with Autism

At Amergis, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Support Specialist to join our team. This role will involve working one-on-one with an individual male student in 1st grade who has been diagnosed with autism. The ideal candidate will have experience in behavioral therapy and be able to implement behavior management techniques to promote positive learning outcomes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing prevention, intervention, and consequence strategies to address challenging behaviors such as eloping, aggression, and verbal communication. They will also work collaboratively with the BCBA, teacher, and program supervisor to develop and implement behavior intervention plans that align with the student's IEP goals.

This is a full-time position, with a schedule based on the student's attendance at school (Monday, Thursday, and Friday). The hourly local compensation for this role is $23.00, with weekly paychecks.
