Amergis is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Behavioral Support Specialist to join our team in Potlatch, ID.

Salary: $23/hour

Job Summary:

  • We are looking for an individual who can facilitate educational and behavioral services, collaborate with professionals, and implement behavior management techniques.

About the Role:

  • The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of pediatric experience.
  • You will be responsible for following instructions from BCBA, teacher, and/or program supervisor, implementing behavior management techniques, providing crisis intervention, and reviewing and implementing behavior intervention plans.
  • In addition, you will review and perform tasks to behavioral and ABA goals, assist in facilitating academic instruction, and support students across environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Compliance with professional standards of practice
  • Participation in Amergis' Competency program
  • CPR certification if applicable
  • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Current health certificate
  • Meets federal, state, and local requirements
  • Successful completion of new hire training
  • Understands patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
  • Strong communication skills and computer proficiency
  • At least 18 years of age
