Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Information Technology Operations Director to lead our IT Pathway division at the University of the District of Columbia.

About the Role

The successful candidate will oversee the development, implementation, evaluation, and monitoring of our IT Pathway, ensuring it meets the needs of all stakeholders within the local workforce system. This involves maintaining expert knowledge of industry trends and providing accurate information to students, employers, and partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, management, and completion of large complex IT certification programs/courses.
  • Maintain professional knowledge of industry trends and marketplace issues.
  • Conduct ongoing research to ensure programs/training pathways meet stakeholder needs.
  • Ensure routine semesterly planning and implementation activities are completed accurately and on-time.
  • Manage program/course scheduling, classroom allocation, and facility utilization.
  • Supervise, train, and oversee pathway staff members.
  • Identify, engage, and spearhead new workforce education initiatives.
  • Manage operational budgeting activities, including annual spending plans and budget reporting.
  • Prepare and provide information for the annual budget development process.
  • Co-create student success and retention operations and processes.
  • Supervise, plan, assign, and direct work; appraise employee performance; and address complaints and resolve problems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent technical degree.
  • Five years working in the IT field as a project manager, supervisor, and/or IT trainer/educator.
  • Five or more years working in the IT field, preferably in an education/training environment.
  • Three (3) years operational and/or program/project management experience.
  • Three (3) years supervisory experience.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $72,627-$80,625 per year, plus benefits including health and life insurance, annual (vacation) and sick leave, and retirement plan coverage through TIAA.
