Summary

Summary

All Native Group is seeking an Information Technology Specialist to support the US Department of State Bureau of Medical Services Directorate of Operational Medicine in Washington, DC. The Bureau of Medical Services' (MED), Directorate of Operational Medicine (MED/DMD/OM), executes the U.S. Department of State's Operational Medicine Program. The Operational Medicine Program plans, resources, synchronizes, and executes medical contingency plans to enhance the security of chief-of-mission personnel engaged in high-risk environments worldwide, providing senior decision-makers with flexible response options mitigate emerging medical risks through the deployment of tailored aviation, logistical, and human capabilities that are ready to operate in the most austere and high-risk environments.

Essential Functions
  • Provides full lifecycle support for all deployed systems/applications and new technologies on multiple networks and cloud environments.
  • Implements information security protections commensurate with the risk of potential harm resulting from unauthorized access of information systems.
  • Provides excellent customer support for internal and external customers and final resolution for datacenter related matters.
  • Analyze data and information to identify business opportunities
  • Develops requirements for system improvements in server administration and lifecycle management of systems and applications.
  • Recommend and update policies and procedures to improve performance
  • Resolves all IT system and software related problems
  • Create monthly reports to management on key findings and assessments
  • Keep updated on industry and market trends and recommend new requirements and updates

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
  • Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Expresses or exchanges ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly.
  • Frequently moves standard office equipment up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to work indoor conditions 90% of the time.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend hours required, as required by business need

Experience
  • At least 3 years of professional experience providing IT support
  • Demonstrated experience in hardware and software
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Internet Technology or Computer Science
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
  • Expert proficiency in (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.) and competent business communication skills (written/oral) (may be asked to provide a sample of previous work).
Security Clearance
  • Minimum Secret Security Clearance with the ability to attain a Top-Secret clearance
