**Estimated Salary Range:** $47,320 - $60,640

**Job Description:**

We are seeking a talented Junior Software Developer to join our team and support the modernization and sustainment of a large portfolio of enterprise business solutions used by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The position supports a new program, the NASA Consolidated Applications and Platform Services (NCAPS), which consolidates enterprise-wide applications and platform services across the Agency and supports the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Application Division transformation into the Application and Platform Service (APS) Line with agile-based service delivery and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL)-based service management practices.

The successful candidate will support Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC) with development and operations and maintenance (O&M) support for the systems and services that fall under centralized information technology (IT) services, which are managed by the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO).

**Responsibilities:**

  • Support the design, development, enhancement, debugging, and implementation of software.
  • Collaborate with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.
  • Perform feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
  • Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration, and testing tools.
  • Resolve problems with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
  • Participate in the development of software user manuals.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Management Systems, or a related discipline.
  • One (1) to three (3) years related technical experience with Microsoft Project, XML, HTML, JavaScript, Oracle, ColdFusion, ASP.net, Jira, and/or SharePoint.
  • Public Trust clearance and ability to obtain higher level, if needed.
  • Strong organizational skills.
