Medical Therapist Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team at VSV WINS INC in Newport, RI.
This is a per diem position providing care at our Southern RI Region's inpatient and outpatient facilities, covering Newport and East Greenwich areas. Occasional coverage outside of this area may be requested. Weekend differential available.
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will deliver and support therapeutic programs designed and established by the Physical Therapist.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Physical Therapist and multi-disciplinary team to implement treatment plans.
- Monitor patient progress and operate therapeutic equipment safely.
- Document treatments, recording patient status, responses, changes, and educational activities.
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in Rhode Island.
- Interest in working with individuals of all abilities, including the intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) population.
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
- Current (or willingness to obtain) BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
