Position: Vice President of Insurance Sales Strategy

Position Summary

The individual in this role will be pivotal in expanding the life insurance operations across Member Offices associated with Valmark. These Member Offices are categorized into three key segments:

  1. Life Insurance Professionals
  2. Financial Advisors
  3. Institutional Partnerships (Registered Investment Advisors, Banks, & Accounting Firms)

The primary focus will be on enhancing life insurance sales through institutional partnerships, which involves nurturing existing relationships and establishing new ones. While the emphasis is on institutional partners, collaboration with other internal teams at Valmark will be essential to promote life insurance across all segments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive life insurance growth by focusing on the recruitment, retention, and enhancement of insurance production from current and prospective financial institutions, including banks and CPA firms.
  • Foster meaningful relationships with Insurance Producers and Firm Executives through a consultative approach.
  • Design and execute tailored life insurance strategies for selected firms, ensuring that executives recognize the value Valmark brings to their operations.
  • Strategically expand the network of advisors actively offering insurance solutions by cultivating existing institutional relationships and identifying new opportunities.
  • Establish key performance metrics for internal use and to provide firms with comparative benchmarks.
  • Leverage a team of skilled insurance analysts and product specialists at Valmark's headquarters to enhance service delivery.
  • Promote Valmark's tools that improve efficiency and uncover new sales avenues for Member Offices.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with Valmark's executive leadership.
  • Develop rapport with leaders in the insurance industry to strengthen collaborative relationships.

Qualifications

  • Business Development Expertise: Proven track record in growing life insurance sales with financial institutions and wealth management professionals.
  • Life Insurance Knowledge: In-depth understanding of both fixed and variable life insurance products, alongside financial and estate planning concepts.
  • Leadership Qualities: A strategic thinker and problem solver with a servant leadership approach, capable of driving results both independently and collaboratively.
  • Relationship Management Skills: Successful history of addressing customer challenges through the implementation of value-added platforms and solutions.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within high-end life insurance sales.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Preferred qualifications include:
    • Master's Degree in Business or Financial Services.
    • Professional designations such as CFP, CLU, ChFC, CPA, JD, or M.Tax.
    • Life Insurance license and relevant certifications.
    • FINRA Series 7 and 24 Licenses.

Valmark offers a competitive compensation package that includes a base salary, performance incentives, health benefits, a 401(k) plan with a generous company match, and paid time off. This position is also eligible for Valmark's profit-sharing bonus program.
