Position Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Leader will oversee and guide the Maintenance Team, ensuring the effective management of maintenance and capital improvement projects at a designated FPI managed property. The primary goal is to fulfill the expectations of the Client while adhering to the operational budget and management agreement.

Compensation: $29 - $31 / Hour

Key Responsibilities

This role involves managing a team of maintenance staff, which may include Technicians, Groundskeepers, and Housekeepers. Responsibilities include:

• Implementing a daily and preventative maintenance program to maintain the property in optimal condition.

• Conducting daily inspections of the property and common areas to identify maintenance issues.

• Ensuring maintenance requests are addressed within a 24-hour timeframe.

• Performing regular inspections of all apartments and common areas.

• Coordinating emergency maintenance services during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Maintaining an organized maintenance shop and storage area in compliance with safety standards.

• Managing inventory of parts and supplies to ensure timely repairs.

• Complying with all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar supervisory role, preferably in Residential Property Management or related fields.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; industry certifications (e.g., CAMT, NAHMS) are preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record may be required.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office and property management software.
Skills Required:
  • Expertise in appliance repair, HVAC maintenance, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to manage landscaping and grounds maintenance.
  • Experience with drywall installation and repair.
  • Strong customer service and management skills.
