Job Responsibilities:
The Facilities Maintenance Engineer will report to the Facilities Operations Manager and will be responsible for:
  • Conducting maintenance and repair work on heating, ventilation, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, air conditioning, and water systems.
  • Ensuring all HVAC, fire notification, emergency, and elevator systems are operational and compliant with applicable codes.

Work Schedule:
Available schedules include:
  • Wednesday through Sunday (Monday and Tuesday off), 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
  • Thursday through Monday (Tuesday and Wednesday off), 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.

Key Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of two years of journey-level experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems or equivalent formal education combined with hands-on experience.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in a performing arts environment is preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), with familiarity in Google Suite and computerized work control systems being advantageous.

Licensing Requirements:
The candidate must successfully complete a pre-placement examination and hold a valid California Driver's License for the operation of necessary vehicles or equipment.

Compensation and Benefits:
The starting salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience, with a maximum of $6,459 per month. This is a full-time, non-exempt position leading to permanent status after a successful probationary period.
