Key Responsibilities:- Lead the Hannaford To Go Department operations in accordance with established department standard practices.
- Provide exceptional customer service and sales building by role modeling and providing high standards.
- Maintain accurate records and assist in ensuring all yearly certifications are up to date.
- Utilize company tools such as financial reports, scheduling, productivity, ordering, and business information systems.
- Assist in creating and maintaining effective work schedules to meet customer service standards and associates' personal needs.
- Use good judgment in the delegation, assignment, and follow-up required for the efficient performance of the department.
- Provide real-time teaching on Shopping or Expediting process issues.
- Provide feedback to Assistant Store Manager on associate performance or behavior issues.
- Lead training and developing associates to meet department needs.
- Maintain solid communication in the department and with store management.
- Observe and follow all company policies, established standard practices, and legal requirements.
- Observe and follow all company policies and established procedures.
- Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance.
- Ensure that return-to-stock items are handled in a prompt and orderly manner.
- Support and comply with all company safety standards.
- Communicate any needed equipment repairs or maintenance work needed.
- Keep work area free from debris and safety hazards.
- Be knowledgeable in and able to recognize and differentiate between various types of produce merchandise carried in the store.
- Record on designated forms any price discrepancies and/or any 'not on file' items that are encountered on electronic point-of-sale terminal and shopping devices.
- Secure registers, Mobile Point of Sale Equipment, Shopping Devices when leaving it unattended; protect company assets at all times.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the technical requirements for the Hannaford To Go Service.
- A high school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Perform repetitive hand and arm motions while standing/walking during the majority of the shift.
- Bend and lift products weighing up to 15 pounds continuously, 25 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds on occasion.
- Push or pull up to 75 pounds on occasion.
- Work in and out of inclement weather when necessary.
- Gather up to five shopping carts and push them to designated areas.
- Be able to handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning materials, packaging materials, fresh fruits, vegetables, shellfish, house plants/flowers, and household cleaners.
- Have sufficient visual acuity to read the shopping device display screen as well as check identification cards, checks, invoices, and other written documents.
