Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Assistant Department Leader to join our team at Kroger. As a key member of our Front-end department, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, leading a team of associates, and driving sales and profit growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for customers, respond to their inquiries, and provide solutions to their needs.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and direct the Front-end department, ensuring that all tasks and duties are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Sales and Profit Growth: Assist the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals, monitor quality assurance standards, and implement strategies to drive growth.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day functions of the Front-end department, including scheduling, inventory management, and cash control.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products are displayed and merchandised according to company standards, and that all quality assurance standards are met.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with associates, customers, and management to ensure seamless operations and achieve business objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; management experience and second language skills preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to handle stressful situations, and knowledge of basic math.
  • Experience: Retail or customer service experience required; management experience and second language skills preferred.
