Job Summary

The Custodial Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment throughout the assigned facility. This includes performing routine cleaning tasks, disinfecting surfaces, and ensuring all areas are well-maintained for employees, clients, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
  • Clean restrooms/locker rooms, including replenishing supplies, scrubbing, sanitizing, and maintaining a clean and organized appearance.
  • Replenish showers soap and hair products.
  • Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in a safe and sanitary manner.
  • Empty recycle bins.
  • Ensure windows, doors, and floors are kept clean and free of debris.
  • Maintain cleanliness of office areas, break rooms, and common areas.
  • Monitor cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor when replenishment is needed.
  • Follow safety procedures, MSD, and guidelines while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Assist with event setup and breakdown, moving furniture or equipment as necessary.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management immediately.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous custodial or cleaning experience is a plus.
  • Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and scrubbers.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning schedules.
  • Physically able to lift and carry objects up to 50lbs., stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and have a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work in various environments, including offices, restrooms, locker rooms, and outdoor spaces.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals and dust.
  • Some lifting and physical labor required.
