Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. This role will be responsible for performing light maintenance, repair, and cleaning tasks in a safe and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
  • Conduct inspections and identify areas for improvement to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
  • Operate and maintain mechanical and stationary systems, including boiler operations.
  • Perform general duties such as carpentry, painting, and bed repair and maintenance.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and possess basic mechanical knowledge.
  • Ability to work from blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Resourceful and able to troubleshoot and research support documents as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of two years experience in building systems preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record may be required.
  • Ability to work all shifts and hours as scheduled.
  • Comply with all corporate and facility policies and dress code.
