Job Title: Assistant Research Professor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Research Professor to join our team at the Pennsylvania State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the content development, implementation, dissemination, and evaluation of community-based programs, projects, and services across the public and private sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with program content development and evaluation efforts related to the Thrive Portfolio of parent-education programs
  • Support sponsored award and grant deliverables
  • Develop curriculum content for secondary prevention programming, supplemental universal prevention program content, content for professionals who work with families, and the evaluation of Thrive programming efforts
  • Author content for program needs, including curriculum content, parent-education modules, professional-learning modules, and associated resources
  • Design and implement process and outcome evaluations of universal and secondary prevention parenting programs
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in a Social Science related field with demonstrated experience and expertise in family science and child development
  • Prior experience with program evaluation, qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, and proficiency in using statistical programs such as R, SAS, SPSS, Stata and/or MAXQDA or Nvivo
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
